Chef

We’re growing—and we’re looking for a Chef who loves fresh ingredients, creative expression, and genuine hospitality.

 

At Around the Table, we believe food is more than a meal—it’s an experience. Our team crafts memorable events that bring people together, from intimate gatherings to corporate celebrations. We’re a collaborative crew that values balance, creativity, and communication as much as flavor.

If you thrive in an organized, uplifting kitchen (with mostly daytime hours) and want the freedom to create without burning out, this is your place.

Your Role:

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations with organization and calm leadership

  • Coordinate food and kitchenware orders; manage inventory with precision

  • Ensure ingredient quality, consistency, and beautiful presentation

  • Contribute ideas to menu planning and seasonal recipes

  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness and efficiency

  • Collaborate with our owner and event team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

 

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in professional kitchens (1–2+ years) with a strong sense of organization

  • A natural communicator who enjoys teamwork and problem-solving

  • Passionate about scratch cooking and bringing creativity to every plate

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing structure with flexibility

  • Ready to grow into a leadership role as our kitchen expands

What We Offer:

  • Starting rate: $25+/hour (commensurate with experience)

  • Schedule: Mostly daytime hours; occasional evening events

Event Manager

We’re growing—and we’re looking for an Event Manager who loves people, planning, and creating unforgettable experiences.

​

At Around the Table, food is only the beginning. We craft gatherings that bring people together—from weddings and corporate events to intimate dinners and community celebrations. Our team values collaboration, communication, and creativity as much as precision and professionalism.

If you’re organized, calm under pressure, and thrive on turning ideas into seamless events, you’ll fit right in.

Your Role:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, from inquiry through event completion

  • Plan and manage event logistics—timelines, setup, décor, catering, rentals, and staffing

  • Collaborate with the owner, culinary team, and vendors to bring each client’s vision to life

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring quality and profitability

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with clients and team members

  • Oversee day-of-event execution to ensure a smooth flow and memorable guest experience

  • Anticipate needs, solve problems on the fly, and maintain poise under pressure

  • Evaluate post-event results to refine processes and elevate future experiences

  • Collaborate with our owner and event team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

 

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in event coordination, management, or hospitality (3+ years preferred)

  • A natural communicator who enjoys building relationships and keeping details on track

  • Highly organized, adaptable, and solution-oriented

  • Skilled at vendor coordination and comfortable negotiating contracts

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools

  • A creative thinker with an eye for design, flow, and guest experience

  • Positive, professional, and passionate about creating moments that matter

What We Offer:

  • Starting rate: $18+/hour (commensurate with experience)

  • Schedule: Part-time to full-time; includes evenings and weekends as events require

  • Culture: Collaborative, uplifting, and people-centered—we work hard, laugh often, and show up for one another
